About Magkita Tayo Muli
“Magkita Tayo Muli” which is Tagalog for “Let’s Meet Again” is a Filipino-American cultural program.
The program “Magkita Tayo Muli” was aimed to promote the recognition and understanding of the Filipino-American culture to the East Los Angeles community and surrounding areas. It was presented at the Bonita Center for the Arts in San Dimas, California. The program encompassed elements of theatre, song, modern and traditional dance. It intertwined personal life stories with fiction to bring the Filipino-American community and other ethnic communities together by sharing an honest tale about family, tradition, love, regret and loss.
The Significance of Magkita Tayo Muli
I wrote, produced and directed the Filipino-American program “Magkita Tayo Muli” and directed the branding for the production. I was also responsible for the logistics of the production such as rehearsal schedules and the venue.
